The current exhibition takes place at Nishi Honggan-ji Temple, constructed in the early 1920s, highlighting the timeless spatial texture of Japanese architecture with its red brick walls and wooden truss roof system. Themed "Expressing via Tectonics," the exhibition delves into the materiality and structural relationships of the materials while gently responding to the historic site's interior textures. Inside the exhibition space, a hanging display system, comprised of five sets of steel angles, suspends a one-meter grid of welded metal mesh, floating in the indoor airspace. Configured in a "回" shape, this layout defines the content hierarchy both inside and outside the character. The transparent metal mesh seamlessly blends with the background red brick color, ensuring it complements rather than overshadows the space, preserving the authentic appearance of the historic site.
